RE: About Barack Obama

Barack Hussien Obama.umpfumpfumpf

That is how I refer to the man.

There is no good in him at all.

He is pro-abortion, thinks that gas prices are fine, and is in cahoots with the president of Iran, who has openly threatened to KILL America!!!!!!

Yeah, great guy.HmmHmm

RE: About Barack Obama

The above post makes me laugh so much.Hahaha I hope its a joke, because i can't believe somebody would actually spew such propaganda and believe it.

But back to the serious discussion. Back when bush and Gore were fighting it out, i was torn. I felt that neither men had much to offer the country and that neither men could do much harm. I of course felt annoyed at the lack of choice when it came to the election, so chose Gore only on a couple of policy differences. When Bush won, i didn't care much. I thought that there was no way he could mess anything up. He seemed somewhat stupid and therefore incapable of getting anything done whether it be good or bad.
Boy was I wrong.
8 years of bush has been disastrous. No matter what walk of life or what party you belong to, nobody in their right mind should be happy about the way he has led. From a liberal perspective its been disastrous, from a right wing perspective its been bad.
So when it comes down to this election, i am going to vote for Obama. I'm not naive enough to think that he will bring some drastic change to the us. But he will bring a definite shift in policy, something that the whole world has hoped for.
McCain was a middle of the road republican and apposed a lot of the Bush policy. But ever since he started running for president again, he has completely fallen in line behind Bush. Bleh.
Lately Obama has been flip-flopping on his stances too.

i think it again comes down to 2 choices that aren't so great. umpf

RE: About Barack Obama

Yes, I agree that zztop78 is overboard there. However, Obama is still not the intelligent choice. US presidential candidates are not the cream of the crop rising to the top, but rather the sludge that is scooped up from the bottom of the barrel by special interests.

The Republican Party is fractured now between radical religious right-wingers and moderate centrists. McCain is a centrist, but he must give a dog and pony show for the radical right to make sure they still vote and keep sending in cash. He has been beaten down by 8 years of tyrannical Bush rule, but I think he’ll reclaim the White House for moderates of both parties.

Obama on the other hand is clearly a radical leftist. Obama has no record of accomplishments in private or public life, just like Bush, no expertise in economic or foreign policy, just like Bush, is owned by special interest, just like Bush, is a slick talker, just like Bush, and speaks of an unrealistic utopian world, just like Bush.

Iraq and Afghanistan are also going downhill along with the economy and the next president will inherit it and Bush will wipe his hands clean. If Obama inherits it, the radical right will blame him and the left for everything. If McCain inherits it, at least the right will still have to take responsibility. Just think what will happen if Obama is president and there is another terrorist attack! You’ll see 20 years of radical right Republican rule after that.

So ultimately, if you want to get as far away from a Bush-like presidency (right or left), then McCain is the better choice. Obama will just be a leftist Bush making destructive ill-informed blunder after blunder and further sink this country into a hole.

RE: About Barack Obama

Obama seems like a package under the Christmas tree - but maybe the box of Pandora? Suspect

Donovius, you write obviously in such a great style, that I'd really appreciate you doing more improvements of the translations Jaja Applaus

Thank you Malone! Tongue

I've been spending some time on fixing the improvements and have posted what I've done so far. I'll keep working on them.
