Well, I think in many countrys there are very strange traditions. Their adherers are dumb and ridiculous persons. But I have no idea at all, if there is any more stupid and embarrassing tradition than the German Volksmusik. Simply google for this term and see the images, then you'll see what I'm talking about umpf
But Germans have such proud traditions! Oktoberfest, people!
But we in Austria have also a Lerdehosen-tradition Big Grin

But I don't like it Nono
anything taht goes on in Westminster, its such needless pomp and ceremony its retarded. england needs a new parliament building. although westmintser shouldnt be knocked down just cause its an awsome building.
Ah, well at least you people have to pay for your funny monarchy Hehe
Hey guys, be proud of your traditions. No matter if its really stupid, it mostly is a lot of fun and really important to sometimes establish kind of self-confindence in the nation (OK, Volksmusik itself is a bit weak if you are not drunk, getting better with each beer, but even there some related songs are good) . Besides, christmas is a stupid tradition, too, from someones perspective. But if you look back to your childhood, how boring would it be to miss it because its not "logically explainable to put some stuff on a tree". As long as this traditions are openminded to unite the own people and not to exclude other people, its fine. It's a bit like each contrys kitchen: Almost everybody likes some other nations meals, because almost every kitchen has one really tasty food. That rather brings people together than some nihilistic sight like "whats this crap about anway look, other people could be offended".

OK, a bit off topic, but just needed to say this.
Volksmusik is better than circumcision on females Motz
Sure, but circumcision on females is not embarrassing, it's cruel and barbaric! Vangry
You're right.
