Apologize if this has been brought up before.
I'm not liking the approach you guys are using when it comes to getting us to pay for the service.
I understand the need for money to keep servers up and to pay yourself, but it seems a little pricey for a online text based game.
That being said,
Might I suggest a one time payment that then gives the individual a permanent standing as a VIP/premium member? This to me is much more desirable. So you could do something like 40 euros for a premium upgrade, and 60 euros for a VIP upgrade. You could also allow people to add more nations to their list up to a maximum of 12 for another 5 euros each.
I just think lowering the price or changing your pricing model will help you get more actually paying for this service rather then remaining a basic user. I know that if you changed to a pricing model like the one I mentioned above, I would buy a premium account upgrade in an instant and maybe even a VIP.
Also I would like to mention one way that many other text based online games use to attract new players: That being, system that rewards players with small amounts of in game currency/points if the player votes for the game on a game ranking page each day. This then would increase the amount of traffic to the site, perhaps even more efficiently than the current method.
I hope you think about this. I really do enjoy this simulation, and I definitely want it to continue on and prosper.
