Hello All,
Some newbie questions on Alliances. I realize each alliance will do things differently but in general, do Alliances have requirements for accepting new members? Do you need to be of a certain strength to be accepted?
I've been looking at Alliances based on what reforms they've adopted and whether or not that matches my goals for my state. Should I be focused only on low strength Alliances since my state is low strength? Do people start with lower ranked Alliances and then withdraw and join more powerful ones as their state has gained strength? Or is loyalty realistic and an Alliance will grow in strength?
Hope these were clear. Appreciate your response.
Hi, Philly!
All leading alliances are at the limit of 25 states and they accept by dropping out of any members of course the strongest states to avoid drawback with ally worth and on ranking.
So you have the chance to be accepted by alliances with a ally worth of less then 6.70 independent from airs and graces of the alliance leaders.

The description shows you the direction of the alliances!
When you haven't speciell preferences like socializm, royalty liking or other oddities you are invited to our alliance M I N A - Alliance of independent and reformwilling states with principially a liberal tendency and "a whiff of social touch". I hope that we can start soon with reforms like negative income tax or health care reform, where we hope to get boosted our economies by balanced budgets and adequate tax rates! We hope that growth and strong economy leads to an happy nation! The principially approach to citizens is to offer a relative fair environment without pampering tendencies! So you are kindly invited!
But of course, there are more alliances in this direction. Try these pages or threads:

PS: Loyalty to the alliance is of course to prefer. Alliance hopping is not very appreciated, at least by me!
Thanks Bulent Epikur!
Your reply was very very helpful! I also appreciate the invitation to MINA. I think I will apply to a different alliance however as I hope to pursue very socialist reforms. And I'd very much like to avoid alliance hoping also. Just wasn't sure how this all works
Thank you!
You're welcome! The choice is yours.

There are very good and honest socialism reformers in the game that you can join.
hmmm -- were you saying that if one applies to an alliance with less than 25 members, they go in automatically?
Did I understand correctly?

No, the leader gets a message and has to accept you as a member.
