A bit like this game, but there's a lot more options to build your nation like technology, trading and WAAAARRRRRRRR! Tongue

Anyway, it's http://www.cybernations.net

Thing is, if you haven't joined an alliance by your second week you'll definitely be at war with 2-3 people.

I'm in the Global Alliance and Treaty Organization, I figured I'd introduce it to you guys because all you Germans would feel at home in an alliance who stole it's name from NATO Tongue

It's largely a direct democracy with a Constitutionally limited elected Head of State and a Congress to keep all levels of government in check and to create laws and such.

Anyway, here's the forum link to GATO: http://gato-forums.com/index.php?act=idx

Give it a try, it's a bit of a 5 minute a day game like Ars Regendi but if you wanna get to a powerful position in GATO you should be active on the forums.

I've being playing for a few weeks now, the game itself is a lot of fun but the GATO community's what will keep me there for a long time to come.
I did for a bit, but I found it absolutely terrible and boring. Ars Regendi is MUCH better!

Did you join an alliance? It does get boring after a while if you don't, or if you join a crappy, inactive alliance.

GATO just makes the whole experience far better.
Yeah I did, but it wasn't a very active one, I found it a very monotonous experience. You couldn't control the sort of things I wanted to and you couldn't raise taxes past 20%!

Yes, I joined about 4 weeks ago and I've become a member of the GUN alliance.

I am sorry, but GATO really fails, they lost like every war.

I am playing this game for 2 years now, and it is just a matter of time until GATO gets kicked again.

If you join this game, then don't join GATO.

GATO's refusal to take it's military seriously has really hampered it, something I had campaigned against.

Before I left (Ars Regendi was showing more promise), I was planning to try and unite GATO's old allies into a credible diplomatic and military force once more.

GATO needs a lot of work, but that's why it's such a great alliance to join. So many opportunities.

GATO is an alliance of the bast. Pre-GWI they used to be great.

But they lost war after war, and they will never be as great as they used to be.

I for me joined the MCXA, they have an awesome community, they are like a huge family, and that is completly objective.
I have been in many many alliances before, but I was also impressed about their organiation, they have a lot of active people...
And since they have a High Council of 11 Members (that is their top government), I hope I have chances to win next term.. so you have oppertunities there as well.

The game comes close to ars-regendi (although I really start to like this game better Wink ) but it has a good developed war feature, wich makes the politics very interesting and heated up. It is interesting to follow.

If you want to give it a try,

^^ here is the link.

I was sceptic first as well, but I don't regrett a second on their Forums.
A lot of different cultures, that close bounded in an alliance, I have never seen that before, and I have played a lot RP games.

That's what you think. Cool

No, actually that is the reality.

GATO is polticially isolated. When I was unaligned after \m/ disbanded, I recieved a recruitment PM from your alliance. It was saying that you are the oldest alliance in the game, that you are uber strong and most important: That you are a democracy.

The problem is

1st: That you are politically isolated.

2nd: That in CN democracy /= good. Your government is slower that a worm in the earth.

That is why you belong to the past, and please don't say, that there are fast worms Smile
