RE: Testplayers for India wanted

In the english version, 'GINI-Coeffizient' is spelled wrong. Should be Coefficient.

And I'm wondering why the GINI in my India state is almost the same as in my USA-state. Don't think this is realistic.Noplan

It seems to me, the tasks don't realy fit to India. They are fixed to western circumstances. Or is this only my opinion?

I agree. But its mostly not the tasks, which do not fit, but the (descriptions of the) options.

I think India would need a set of mostly new tasks. The cultural difference between India and Germany/USA is quite big! (I admit, I don't know the main political problems of the Indian society, but expect them to be rather different to ours.)

Task "Minimum wages"

Quote:
“With moderate minimum wages there won’t be much difference in this country.” says Kelly Lane, who who works with bended back on asparagus fields. “Foreign employees are still much more motivated and are favoured by the employers. To achieve this motivation also for us, and to boost the domestic economy, noticeable higher minimum wages are necessary, with which you can afford a little luxury!”

One "who" is enough...

Another thing:

It seems that we still get tasks in winter as well. Yesterday I had two tasks, that I didn't take, as I started a reform. But today there were three tasks.

Task "Trading Card Games" (#262)

Quote:
"There is an even easier solution. It would be much easier if these trading cards weren't even available for children." interjects John Fiegmund, lawyer of a small national-conservative group. "This wouldn't be a big deal judicially, we wouldn't even have to make a new law. The contents of these trading card packs are randomly arranged and single cards are traded at different market falues, therefore they can be considered as some sort of gambling. But in TEST INDIA II, gambling is already forbidden for minors. We just have to prohibit the disposal of trading cards to minors under reference to the gambling laws."

Should probably be "values".

Task "Doping" (#91)

Quote:
"Winning as a nation composed of cheaters and fakes is not victory!" says angry Jenny Nightengale, a gold metalist diver. "Doping has to be prosecuted even harder and testing must be increased. It's better to achieve victories with honesty. We also have to protect the health of our athletes from their own blind ambition."

"Medalist" would be better here. Or "medallist" if we use British english.

Quote:
"That is weak view from weak athlete! Doping must be required for every athlete who represent our nation!" demands Sergey Mikhailov, owner of a small drug store. "We must also select our athletes at very young age with national support and optimized training. We don't want to be nation of losers!"

The first sentence sounds weird. Probably a more direct translation like

"This is an anachronistic viewpoint." or "This is an archaic viewpoint"

would be better here.

"represent" seems to be missing a trailing "s" here and if I'm not mistaken, "at very young age" should better say "at a very young age". The same should go for "nation of losers" which should be "a nation of losers".

Ok, everything fixed what I could.

The size text and the GDP/head are comfreaks job. It seems, the states are running quite realistically?

Except the tasks wich doesn't realy fit, I think the India states can be played like the other scenarios, too. The very low budget and not at least the deaths by hunger are looking adequately. Unless the "gross domestic product per capita" (42.764 €) in Test India V seems to be much to big.

And once more, is India actually a very little state? Kopfkratz

Hm,

Quote:
Mandatory union membership for all employees leads to an increase in employment, but a decrease in salaries and wages.

Quote:
The welfare was heavily decreased in order to cause effective wage lowerings.

Are these the facts, why the number of "starved to death" in Test India V downright exploded?

My determinations are blame for hundreds of deaths?! Glotz

Suicide

It seems that most Indian states suffer from a massive netto income reduction. - I don't know why!

The task "Wages sacrifice" is very sarcastic for India!

As I said, comfreaks jobs, both!

Yes Glotz The welfare is so low anyway and so many unemployed...

The tasks can't be adjusted to India - much to much work, not absolutely neccessary, and there are more important things to do.
