Well it seems that both sides played their part. As for the bombing of Dresden, it was no worse then the Nazi Fire bombing of London, the Holocaust or Imperial Germany's unrestricted sub warfare of WWI. However the fact that Dresden offered minimal military importance to the Nazi's does make it an assault on the people as oppose to the army, which is obviously a war crime. As for the Atomic bomb, we warned Japan that if they would not surrender we would use a secret weapon of ours, after they still didn't surrender we bombed them again. However in a sad way the Nuclear bomb was justifiable, a land invasion of Japan probably would have cost more lives(military and Civilian) then the invasion of Europe. Despite the fact the bombs destroyed whole cities it probably saved lives of both Japanese and Americans.

What about british so called warfare in WWI, meat grinder tactics like those of Field Marshal Douglas Haig... It is never justifiable to destroy civilian cities in order to "win" a war. Also there were not only civilians killed in the actual explosion, but there were also those made to suffer the tourments of black rain and radiation poisoning. The two A bombs dropped happened in Harry S (man) Truman's mandate of reestablishing british imperialism, to adopt an aggrissive stance toward the USSR and further to advocate land wars in Asia, in Indochina in particular. Ho Chin Minh, who was a friend of Roosevelt, after his death he was labeled an enemy of american national interest.

Hmm I am not shure what you want to say ? Noplan
