Full Version: Why dollar rates always increases

I just want to know that what reason behind it that the rates of dollar are always increasing. Please share your views.
Because of oil price fluctuations. While indeed today's dollar has less purchasing power than say, the dollar of 20 years ago; if you add up all the dollars 20 years ago and all the dollars in the present, the latter can buy more simply because there's more wealth in the world now, than it was 20 years ago.
