Corruption

Ive made the mistake of cutting welfare to harshly, its below living costs :S
ive set about rising it back up to living costs, but i think negative income tax would be more beneficial to my economy ensuring everybody has living costs will this decrease my shadow economy and corruption?

RE: Corruption

absolutely! I've actually found (at least within the game) the strongest influences on corruption is task decisions, unemployment and underemployment, and the net income to cost of living ratio. Negative income tax would be an excellent move in the short-term as it essentially eliminates underemployment (in terms of pay). In the long run though the only thing you can do is assure stable pay and employment.
