James Comey, FBI director, is fired by Trump

Notwithstanding it is of no precedent, President Trump has fired the director of the FBI, citing claims of ineffectiveness in his duties. In terms of justice, this is a great victory, as now the criminal Hillary Clinton is sure to face federal criminal charges for negligence in the future. However, in the long term, this sets a worrying precedent of a further reshuffling of federal government institutions to fit political agenda - eliminating what little sovereignty is left; if this goes unchecked, Trump may use it to justify expediting his power - via, say, shuffling in his own puppets into powerful institutions such as the Federal Reserve. Likewise, I believe, in the long term impact, this is to lead to a great centralization of government power in the hands of the president. In that regard, it was a negative event.
