What about... Greece, Spain nor Italy? With this economical crisis it would be realy interesting if we could try to use them and get them out of their debs and unemployement... or make them go worse Wink

I have to disagree. Such states wouldn't be interesting. Besides, the periphery is in crisis because once they joined the eurozone, they lost their monetary sovereignty. And they subjected themselves to an arbitrary economic treaty which was not designed to deal with a crisis of (lack) aggregate demand.
China, the USSR, Japan, or an African state would be really fun to play.

A really interesting one would be Samoa. Samoa is an extremely underdeveloped and tiny pacific island with most people employed in the small agricultural sector and a really small industrial sector exists as well with only 6% of the workforce but about a fourth of it's total exports. It has a tiny GDP and very interesting conditions. It would have about max environement ingame. I imagine no stats would be particularlty bad it would just have the worst economy ever. It would be cool because it would be like really starting your own country from the begining.

Your premise is solid, however, considering how vexing the Columbia, Turkey, and Iran template states are... I'd imagine Samoa to work in constant pick-dip economic behavior. As far as I'm concerned, there's a too strong correlation in AR's matrix between economic growth and rising unemployment. While this may be narrowly "realistic" for the developed countries, it's totally implausible for developing countries.
