Weird Economic Collapse - Evinco - 30.05.2020 10:31

My German template nation of Trifecta is experiencing economic upheaval. Public expenditure dramatically dropped to absurd levels, potential citizens die in miscarriage, and my Regent is loved like a benevolent god to everyone except his own people.

This is a result of an overflow. Usually, they appear if numbers become to big. In case of your state, this was (likely) caused by the massive GDP/Money Supply.

Please review East Altai

RE: Weird Economic Collapse - MrProper - 18.10.2020 09:55

Generally, conquered states are often harder to stabilize and control. Loosing them is not uncommon and happened to me multiple times too, including Dollet in World Arnheim.

East Altai looks mostly fine to me. Implementing Negative Income Tax was propably a very good idea, as can be seen in the happiness / approval rating. In my experience, it takes a few quarters for extremists to demote to just being discontent. A few quarters more, and the number would have reduced a bit.
That being said, a major factor for the unrest in your country was the monetary inequality of you citizens. 35% of the population is unemployed. An average employed person (1,158€) earned about 6.3 times more than an unemployed person (183€) in a month. The Gini of your country was 0.57, which would be about the 4th of 5th highest value if you compare your state to real world countries. I bet that the Gini before implementing Negative Income Tax was even notably than it was at time of Exitus.

One good approach would have been to tax income more. The average worker earns about 4 times what he/she needs to make a living. Using the hence obtained money you could have spent in the welfare/pensions budgets, which at the same time would have increased your approval.

Thank you for that, I was quite confident and surprised about East Altai's collapse I worked hard to protect and restore the state. Further the state had been in my control for long enough to shrug off the effects of inheriting a conquered computer ran state so late in the game (See the new South Altai) with that being said, I'd like East Altai to be reviewed even the special actions should have kicked in or something.

You regent successfully avoided three assassination attempts and avoided deselection due to manipulation three times too. That all worked as it was supposed to.

I mean, I can relay your request if you insist, but I lost my state with "only" 20% extremists compared to your 30%. So I have no doubt about the answer you will get.

Yes please convey that in the almost 10 years I've played this game I deserve atleast this one reset 😩

RE: Weird Economic Collapse - Malone - 19.10.2020 18:47

I would like to reset the state, whatever the reason for the Exitus may be. But it's a World State, and so I think the other players will have to decide. When they're are all fine with, I'll reset the state (for how many quarters?). So please start a poll and let it open for 24 hours. Ok?

Thank you Malone

Malone the poll has been completed with 3 Yays, 0 nays and an additional 2 nations underwriting their support. Can you reset East Altai to Quarter 75?

Malone, I just wanted to note that before I started the most recent project in East Altai it was reflecting that I had over 100bn in projects in the budget menu. I just want to ensure that can be corrected somehow so I don't have some permanent 100bn plus expense weighting on East Altai's fragile budget. Also can the occurrences also be repealed to the level they were in quarter 75?

RE: Weird Economic Collapse - Malone - 21.10.2020 19:09

Sorry, all I can do is a reset Hmm
