RE: Protectionism

Irgendwelche Meinungen?

RE: Protectionism

Has anyone tried protectionism with a developing country template (India, Columbia, Iran)?

That is a good experiment idea.

I wonder, what if Liberalism and Protectionism were implemented togheter...?

That would be an interesting combo which just might get you deselected Hehe Anyway I think the protectionism reform be should revised, because very few people use it because it brings massive downsides and close to no upsides at all. Maybe it shouldn't decrease international rep that much, maybe it could also reduce the increase of customs and maybe increase subsidies more... I don't know but this reform should be more accessible to regents especially those who run developing countries templates; And I'm not just saying that cause I happen to be running one myself. RE: Protectionism

Protectionism only brings benefits when you have s huge trade deficit and nearly no exports (e.g. playing an US template and getting boycotted).
After you implemented Protectionism try to increase tariffs as far as you can. My personal record were customs of ca. 120%

RE: Protectionism

Well, "modern" protectionism includes things like bailouts, so I am glad the reform carries the old meaning & action of tariffs.
