Political online game and economic simulation

Former state, Kertholme, since I got assassinated, left wing extremists apparently. I recall the diesel decision in which I opted to increase taxes on diesel engines, I'm guessing that one was not a huge issue. Rather I expect this is a reaction from not bailing out banks around the same time?

I honestly just don't fully understand what happened that caused such a shift so rapidly. So I want to learn from my mistakes and not make them all over again.

Too bad as well, next winter I'd have made a bunch of budget changes lowering taxes and such since I was running a surplus! That probably would have helped a bunch.

Any help is appreciated, should one always bail out the banks perhaps, or maybe it had more to do with the economy I had at the time?

The only explanation I can offer is that you had several extremely urgent tasks you didn't solve. Once they pile up popularity and happiness drop quickly and extremism rises. But I can't really see if this was the case. Other than that the sudden development in Kertholme is inexplicable to me. Try to solve tasks in the order of their urgency (from top to bottom). Even if more than one task has the same status (let's say: extremely high) the top listed has still a higher urgency than the other one(s). Also under "Regent"/"Secret files" you can activate "Surveillance of Dissenters" which helps prevent assassinations. Under normal circumstances I don't use the more drastic secret file options.

Oh wow thanks! I just realized it was re-activated now so, hopefully things are all good.

I didn't see any urgent tasks but, maybe one appeared that I didn't see. I'll watch closely this time!

(Just checked, everything is excellent. Hopefully whatever I did, I can figure out this time. I'll keep a close eye!)
