RE: regulate or not regulate the free market

Hard to answer that question...as we have no free market today. What we call a free market is actually a regulated free market...as you are allowed to do what you want but inside of some defined rules.

Who thinks that the rules and guidelines that are in existence today are not enough then this person should go for the completely "ruled" market in which everything is regulated. The other side would be the completely free market in which everything is allowed.

Personally I would neither of those options, as I think that a completely regulated market would be far to slow to react on any incidence and a completely free market would be a field day for the effects we've seen recently.

What we should have, in my opinion, is a market that is regulated like today but still has enough free room to work and regulate itself. We just need to have "better" rules and "better" control over the compliance with the existing rules. And if we find out that some rules are problematic...we have to react faster but not overhasty...to correct the problems...

So I don't know which of your options to choose...unless you specify the options more clearly...

RE: regulate or not regulate the free market

History showed us that a free market destroys equality and freedom.
Although the marked should not be "overregulated".

RE: regulate or not regulate the free market

the free market is a model which tells us how would economy work without beeing regulated by some rules. it's naiv to think that the nature of economy is so wise that totaly free market, without any regulation would result in the ideal society. though it is very comforttable, like the belief in god or in fate, as you don't have to think anymore Hehe
