Standardized graduation tests ruined my country?

Hi I just had decided for standardized graduation exams (don't know the real name of the task in English)

My popularity dropped from about 8 to -4 over night and my expected election result from over 70% to about 30%, also I have lot's of extremists in the country. The quarter before everything was fine, my state (Eliwagar) was even 4th in the happiness ranks. Is this correct? Seems a little bit hefty from my point of view.

Everything else was fine in the state, no debt, great economy, unemployment rose a bit after I introduced basic income which is well over the living cost. Are they really that pissed that some students failed because of the new test (which would be a dumb implementation of the tests, you wouldn't introduce them right away...) or is this a bug in the game?

Next quarter is the next election, which I will propably fail...

That's not the reason for the matrix crash. It happened because you decreased basic income by 10%. You will find a lot of examples in the forum where this happened in the exact same situation.

So that's the reason.... It was still above living costs and I've done a lot for the people and drastically reduced taxes and other things... ungrateful bastards^^ I think it's time for a supressive dictatorship^^

But good to know, thank you.
