Unemployment/Postcommie

Hi,

These darn Postcommie states are a handful, what are some of the best methods to reduce or at the very least suppress unemployment?

The obvious answers you don't want to hear are:

1) Employment Reform and/or
2) Increase PE Subsidies.

Hehe

Unfortunately, with this template it is hard to balance economic growth and unemployment. Your usual strategy of building up the private sector might not be as effective in this case, meaning a larger government role might be a necessary evil.

This is just based on my experience with the template, and of course there are no right or wrong ways to play.

I'm flustered as building up the government sectors will trigger larger deficits which everyone knows drives me crazy to have. Also I'm encouraged to reduce income taxes and rely on excise taxes for funding. I wonder if Negative Income Tax on this template would force more permanent changes.

Use the reform "unemployment reform" (AKA, put your population in work camps and call them employed). Inflation also gets rid of unemployment. The game seems to correlate surplus with unemployment oddly enough, so you may be at a loss there.

Do you recommend I devalue the currency which should also stimulate exports? I know I can also trigger inflation this way.
