World Environment
Just a query regarding the global environment in some of the worlds.
Now there have been a fair few wars in Blackpool (others have had more, but I'm digressing already...) but the environmental scores have plunged in all states - even those that have completed Personal Rapid Transit.
Now I noticed that Bielefeld's environment has also plummeted to the lowest possible value - and there have been very few wars there and no atomic strikes as the world is based on diplomacy and role play.
The two worlds have one thing in common though, a lot of computer states. Is this the problem and, if so, what is the solution?

RE: World Environment
The rate of environmental decline is ridiculous. Is is impossible for us to reign in all the computer states without risking further environmental degradation via miliary activities. We are all doomed. Massive spending has not stopped the decline...my state is at 2 environment....little to do to prevent social breakdown. At least through current efforts.

RE: World Environment
Looking at Blackpool's world map, I notice a lot of 'postcommunistic' computer states. Roughly at quarter 58 their environment dropped to 2 (after a decay over a few quarters), reducing the average environment score somewhat. I'd think many human 'postcommunistic' states would have failed at this quarter or show a better environment score, so usually this template doesn't mess up world environment.
On the plus side, it shouldn't become worse because of it. Environment arrived at the minimum value and will stay there. These states will be around for many more quarters - given popularity scores there.
Blackpool also shows one of the highest war numbers in Ars Regendi's history. I know this doesn't apply for Bielefeld - would need some more input here. The first six picked Bielefeld states show minimum environment score, at least.
You can probably save the world by more environment spending. It might make sense to conquer a few 'dirty' states and delete or improve them.

RE: World Environment
Are you sure? Does it make sense to start further wars to conquer the "dirty" states? Or will these wars cause more enviromental problems than the computer states which will suffer an exitus anyways? Or won't they exit the world even if their population hates the computer?

RE: World Environment
Conquering them is a risk for sure - hence 'might make sense'. Should have elaborated it more, I guess.
I think computer can be deselected like any regent - but don't play the worlds enough to know for sure.

Does it really? I was told military spending and numbers had no effect...only wars did. If so i'll halt military budget increases as I was planning to boost my forces to 3 miilion

RE: World Environment
At least it was so in Cologne. The communist and fascist faction armed massively and the states had a large decline in environment and in the end the world enviroment. Later we tried this formula: x/2 = PE enviroment minimal increase; x is the increase of PE defence in %, e.g. +10% PE defence => +5% PE enviroment. It worked well.
